How scoring works
Ratings rise and fall by who you beat. Winning against a stronger player or team earns a lot; winning against a weaker one earns little — and losses mirror that. Everyone starts at 0, and the board self-corrects toward true skill over time. K is the swing size: higher K = faster movement per set (24 is a good default).
A classic league table: fixed points per result — win 3, draw 1, loss 0 (you can change these). Simple to explain, but it ignores opponent strength: every win is worth the same.
Rule of thumb: pick Elo for competitive ranking with uneven matchups; pick table points for casual round-robin nights.
